Your fun getaway will begin with a lovely lunch in Williamsport, PA at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. After your culinary experience, enjoy a relaxing 1 hour cruise on the Susquehanna River, view the beautiful natural scenery and listen to an audio narration of the rich history of the lumber era. Your evening will conclude with dinner and room check in at the Penn Wells Hotel. The following day visit Harrison Lookout. On the east rim of the canyon, the 585-acre Leonard Harrison State Park has the most famous scenic views of the canyon. After looking over the canyon you will tour the wondrous Pennsylvania Grand Canyon on a horse-drawn covered wagon. The tour guides are fluent in the history of the Canyon going back to the 19th century. They will tell the tale while the horses wind their way on the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Take a jump into history while enjoying everything the canyon has to offer. You will also enjoy a good ole cowboy BBQ Cookout! After lunch, you will visit the Corning Museum of Glass, the world’s finest collection of ancient, modern and contemporary glass. Discover the science and technology of glass in the Innovative Center and watch live glass blowing demonstrations. Save time to shop at the gift store. Fabulous finds! Finally, check in to the Chautauqua Habor Hotel with an included dinner. Day three…time for laughter! Jamestown’s, native Lucille Ball wished her hometown to become a destination for comedy and the National Comedy Center showcases comedy’s great minds and unique voices in ways that engage, inspire, educate and entertain.The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum explores the lives, careers and legacy of the “First Couple of Comedy,” and the incredible impact they had on the world. The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum features exact recreations of the studio sets from the most beloved TV comedy of all time, I Love Lucy, including the Ricardo’s New York City apartment living room and kitchen, and their Hollywood hotel suite. You will enjoy lunch at the replica of Ricky’s famous nightclub, the Tropicana Hotel while watching a favorite I Love Lucy episode. Your tour will also include a “LucyTown Tour” of iconic Lucille Ball locations throughout Jamestown. Dinner included this evening. Your journey home, the following day, will include a stop along the way for lunch and a wonderful Jackson Mansion Tour. Constructed between 1877 and 1879, the mansion was the brainchild of Colonel Clarence Gerhardt Jackson, a Civil War veteran with a vision. While imprisoned, he sketched the dream home that would become a testament to wealth and elegance. Wander through 22 rooms adorned with seven fireplaces, crystal chandeliers, and intricate woodwork. The grand staircase, hand-carved from walnut, boasts 75 Corinthian columns – a labor of love by two men from Catawissa.
