Heart Mountain Interpretive Center
Through photographs, artifacts, oral histories, and interactive exhibits, visitors to the Interpretive Center experience life at Heart Mountain through the eyes of those Japanese and Japanese Americans who were confined here during WWII. The Interpretive Center provides an overview of the wartime relocation of Japanese Americans, including the background history of anti-Asian prejudice in America and the factors leading to their enforced relocation and confinement. Special emphasis is given to the experience of incarceration, the diverse personal responses of Japanese Americans to their imprisonment, constitutional issues, violations of civil liberties and civil rights, and the broader issues of race and social justice in the U.S.
Visit Old Trail Town
This afternoon step back in time with a visit to the Historic Old Trail Town and Museum of the Old West. A collection of 26 authentic buildings and artifacts from the mid to late 1800’s that have been relocated to where the original town site of Cody was.

The Trial of Jack McCall
The Trial of Jack McCall is based on the impromptu trial which actually took place in the mining camp of Deadwood after “Crooked Nose”
Jack McCall murdered James Butler "Wild Bill” Hickok. Wild Bill was playing poker in Nuttal and Mann’s Saloon No. 10 on August 2, 1876, and was shot in the back of the head while holding Aces and Eights, forever known as the "Dead Man’s Hand." The play follows the Shooting of Wild Bill and capture of Crooked Nose Jack in front of the Saloon No. 10.

Visit the Corn Palace
After breakfast, visit the original Corn Palace, called "The Corn Belt Exposition" was established in 1892. Early settlers displayed the fruits of their harvest on the building exterior in order to prove the fertility of South Dakota soil. While there, take a short, guided tour of the Palace.
