You will enjoy a journey down to the Blue Ridge Mountain area with stops along the way. Your first stop is the 1917 Reynolda Mansion located on the historic estate of Katharine and RJ Reynolds, founder of the RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Reynolda House Museum of American Art is one of the nation’s premier American art museums. Affiliated with Wake Forest University, Reynolda House displays a fine art collection spanning three centuries and representing the finest works by American artists including Mary Cassatt, Frederic Church, Jacob Lawrence, and Georgia O'Keeffe. Lunch included at a nearby Lodge. Day two you will have the opportunity to visit The Biltmore House which is even more magical when adorned for the holidays, complete with elaborate hand-decorated trees including the favorite 35 ft live Fraser fir in the Banquet Hall, a thousand poinsettia, miles of garland and live music. You will enjoy dining at the Stable Cafe in the Biltmore after your tour. Day three you will return to the Biltmore Village to enjoy lunch on your own, shopping and wine tasting. Friday evening explore the fabulous Omni Grove Park Inn and indulge in their amazing buffet dinner overlooking the beautiful mountains. Sunday morning you will depart Asheville for a visit to the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. Step into the life and times of one of America's most influential presidents. Immerse yourself in the World War I trench exhibit, take a peek at Wilson’s Pierce-Arrow limousine, walk the halls in the house where he was born and learn more about what makes Wilson a consequential and controversial president. From his humble beginnings in the Shenandoah Valley to his transformative tenure in the White House, you will learn about it here. Dinner will be enjoyed as a group in Staunton VA. Your final day return home with wonderful memories of Holiday in the Mountains! Stops will be made including a lunch stop.
